A Victory

Victory!

"Ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty! Go to this side!"
"Sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety, hundred!"
"Yeah! You are here!"
"This isn't FAIR! You've got all the good guys!"
"That's the way the dice rolls dude!"
"Hell with the dice! We won't play! We want Silva on our team!"
"OK! OK!" shouted Pala.

The game began.
"This wall is our tree and you can have that pole over there for your tree!" exclaimed Pala
"No chains!" cried Marusira.
"Huh!? No way! Chains permitted" sneered Pala.
"Have it your own way! We won't play!" laughed Don Dong.
"You all are...(colorful words)"

The players spread out to their respective trees. The game was finally going to begin. Silva boldly sprinted forward towards the opposite tree. Before he could move just ten feet, Yanshu approached Silva; walking at first then walking fast.

"I'm newer than you!" advised Yanshu, a bit too loudly.

Prathap crept discreetly and 'passed' to Silva.

"Hey! That's cheating! We said no chains!" growled Yanshu from the opposite end.

Everyone approached their opposite opponents. Words exchanged. Fists flew. Bodies fell. So on, the fight continued. In the end, Silva was said to be caught by Yanshu (even though Yanshu never even went near enough Silva as to hit him). And Kesara (of Pala's team) was said to be caught by Prathap (even though Kesara never even left the tree). Faces were filled with black eyes and\or swollen lips.

Prathap was congratulated for his victory.

"I didn't even leave the tree!" shouted Kesara.
"Is that the sound of a loser I hear?!" sneered Marusira.
"You cheat-"
"I'll take care of him," said John with an evil smile on his swollen lips. This calm atmosphere was destroyed by a noisy messenger.

"Prathap, Marusira and Don Dong are wanted by the Science teacher!" cried Rita, "she said she wants a word with you; this very MINUTE!"
"Right when we were winning!" said Marusira in a mysterious voice.
"I'm sorry, winning? You? Right!" queried Yanshu from the other end.
"I will kick your-"
"Didn't you idiots hear what I just said? And why have you got black eyes?" Rita questioned suspiciously.
"None of YOUR business!" grumbled angry Prathap.

"Hurray! We win!" shouted Pala, "Three of your players are down! We are officially...THE WINNERS!"
"No you are not! They are going to come back!"
"In your face! LOSERS!" sang the victorious winners.
The atmosphere was heating up.
